Acai Chocolate Balls

Due to the popularity of our raw Easter egg featured on Instagram, we have adapted this recipe so it can be enjoyed year round!  These delicious  healthy treats can be made for any occasion and are a healthy afternoon snack at work or after exercise.

Ingredients

1 cup raw almonds (skin on)

1 cup raw cashews

1 cup fresh medjool dates (with seed removed)

3 tablespoons raw cacao powder

½ cup ABC butter (almond, Brazil nut and cashew butter)

½ cup Acai powder

½ cup chia seeds

Method

Soak the raw nuts and dates in a bowl for 1 hour. Drain and place in food processor. Add raw cacao powder and ABC butter. Blend until smooth.

Place the mixture in the fridge for a few hours (for best results leave overnight).

Roll small amounts of the mixture into balls with your clean hands and place on a oven tray covered in baking paper.

Now dip the balls in acai powder or chia seeds for a varied appearance.

Rolling the raw balls in desiccated coconut is another decorative option.

Place the balls on a tray or glass jar in the freezer overnight to set before storing in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
